The CSA at Argos Farm
weekly fresh vegetables for your family

What is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture, a program where the farmer offers a certain number of "shares" to the public. Typically the share consists of a basket of vegetables, and interested consumers purchase a share or a "membership” for which they receive a basket of seasonal produce each week for a set number of weeks during the farming season.

Through this arrangement, the community supports local agriculture, while assuring themselves the very freshest vegetables throughout the season. The farmer has to spend less time marketing his produce, and receives payment for the shares early in the season, when the cash flow is most needed to buy seeds, upgrade equipment, etc. and frankly, we truly enjoy the opportunity to meet with you face to face and to share how your healthy and nutritious food is grown.

Of course the advantage to the CSA member is that you receive the very best, delicious vegetables for each season, with all the flavor and vitamin benefits of fresh picked. And we may expose you to some new vegetables that you’ll truly enjoy-don’t worry, we’ll help with new recipes! Your kids will look forward to a trip to the farm each week to pick up fresh herbs and vegetables. Argos Farm is located at 1250 Lacey Road, Forked River, New Jersey.

How it works:

As a CSA member, you will receive 20 weeks of fresh, certified naturally grown produce during the growing season, from approximately May 24 through October 4, 2017. Each week, you’ll pick up your basket of fresh herbs and vegetables at the farm.
